So,
I have a few new images to add to my collection here on my blog. I had a great time in august month celebrating my 20th birthday in norfolk with Harry, Rob and Chloe. We had a great time, drinking, going to the beach and sailing. It was a week to remember!!
I also went to V festival in Chelmsford with Ollie and Fran and her mates, got to see, Muse, Amy Winehouse, The Verve, Stereophonics and some other awesome bands. Managed to get hold of a hospitality ticket too…
The Sony EX3 Camcorder:
It just wants to be bought! There are a variety of features, including a few 0.5-inch CCDs with Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution, native 24p support, XDCAM HD EX recording on dual SxS cards, HD-SDI output, USB / 4-pin FireWire sockets and an optional 60GB disk recorder that plugs in via a SxS slot. Although you will roll up a bill of almost £7,500 if you get your hands on one.
I hope you like the newly created design, I shall be creating a few more “easy to navigate” features over the next few weeks.
God it’s been a long time since I posted on here, check out Rave on Air 2008. This year my role was to direct the link show, a T4 style show that runs throughout the day introducing all the programmes and content. It also went out LIVE over the internet and on our own freeview channel across Chislehurst and Bromley.
Here is a video that I had commissioned for the link show to sum up the whole day.
Click the video to stop it playing. I just knocked up this show reel with some spare stuff I have lying around on my Hard Drive.
I’ll make a better one at some point…
We have a Live streaming server that broadcasts our programmes out live over the internet… This is what is currently going out on the stream, (If nothing loads or Black appears, nothing is being streamed and we have forgotten to patch something into the V-brick itself, so sorry for this…)
But Enjoy if something appears…
Next term after the “Power Up” project (Your Shout), we fill the rest of term two with “Musical Feast” where musical artists - singers - come to the studio and perform 2 or 3 numbers with a backing instrumentalist or two.
To make it more visually interesting this year, we’d like to integrate dance as much as possible.
This VT of the kids was filmed for a magazine style showcase (following shortly). I directed the showcase which this year was about christmas.
Originally Filmed in High Definition 1080/25p to give the filmic effect.
Filmed by Max Burton, Edited by me and Produced and Directed by Oliver Riches.
Video 28mb, if you have a slow connection please be patient, or you can see a smaller version here.
This is the creative Jucies Video that we have been editing together for the last month and a bit.
Filmed by all of us during november 2007 in 16:9 PAL:576 and edited by myself.
One of our projects this year requires us to make a piece of video, no more than 4 minutes long, that fits to a chosen piece of music. I will post the final product when I Have finished it, for now here is a picture of the edit so far.
Here is a you tube video of a show i directed at Ravensbourne College.
Directing requires one to capture the shots and get the audience to understand the concept of a programme. e.g. How it works and to look at the right people at the right moment.
Sorry it’s been so long since I have posted a video. I’ve been having a great time now that i’m in my second year at Ravensbourne. I’ll post something new soon.
I have been working at the London Studios for the Last 4 weeks in three different departments. So far I have been with the sound department and the studio camera department.

Here are some pictures of my time at TLS…
Glastonbury Festival is something I have always wanted to go to. This year (thanks to Freya) I managed to get a ticket. Unfortunately I was then told that I had a job working at Wimbledon and I had to be there for the next 2 weeks, including the time I was supposed to be at Glasto. Eventually I was able to negotiate a with Pete to let me go along for Saturday and Sunday.
When I got there I met up with Harry, Rob, Tom, Jenny, Ruth and Toby.
Here are a few pics from my time at Glasto.
On the Journey home, We left straight after the Who on Sunday Night. We took the long walk through Pedestrian Gate B to the East Car Parks. Harry’s Car was further in than mine and consequently had to wait for 6 hours before they got out of the car park. Where as I managed to get out in less than 1 hour and head home at 2am with several nap stops on the way. Ending up back at the chisle at 6am Monday morning…
On Monday the 21st the 2nd year BOP’s put on a show for called verses, i went along to help out with the rigging and to take some photos for Rave On Air…
